A full American buffet breakfast is available to satisfy every guest’s taste, but our pride is the “Greek Flag” dishes. Through these dishes we invite our guests to get in sync with the island and its people, to feel and taste the local culture and way of life. Three elements are combined for this culinary experience
- Fresh produce from local farmers
- Local recipes for sweet and savory delights
- Cooking and baking in our kitchen
The local fruits offered depending on the season are: watermelons, melons, grapefruits, oranges, kiwis, bananas, peaches, nectarines, pears, red or green apples and grapes.
Vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and multicolor peppers are used for salads, while with the addition of extra virgin Koan olive oil, olives, feta and wine cheese, eggplants, zucchini etc we create savory local dishes.
Local farm eggs are cooked in many ways and are part of various Greek omelettes., like Strapatsada.
Every morning we make our own short crust pastry and try to surprise you with the two different pies: feta and spinach, vegetables and cheese, cold cuts and cheese, classic cheese pie, leeks and feta, mushrooms and bacon, sausage and vegetables, chicken with red peppers.
The breads are made fresh daily, of wheat, rye, multi-seed, with poppyseeds, anise, olives, and feta. You can choose from classic loafs, breadsticks, bread rolls and rusks.
For a sweet ending, there are various traditional honey-syrup sweets like baklava, saragli, walnut cake etc. Greek Halva and local orange mayirya as well as seasonal marmalades, whole fruit preserves and honey from the near-by mountain are not to be missed.
As a finishing touch, we suggest an herbal tea of spearmint/rosemary/Greek mountain tea or a traditional Greek coffee slowly simmered over a hot sand plate.
Served between 07:00 and 10:15
